Q: I'm not sure exactly what I want or need - can you help?

Symbol for QuestionnaireA: Our questionnaires (quote forms) are written specifically to provoke thought and consideration. You'll find the forms within our site, wherever you see the big "Q" (at right), or in our Form Library. While filling out your questionnaire or form, you are welcome to contact us with any questions or concerns you may have. The best way to create a design that integrates your ideas, is to answer the questionnaire as completely as possible--do your best to answer EVERY question in detail. Be sure to provide us with colors and samples of sites you've seen that appealed to you, as visual clues can be the defining influence for a designer. While it may require a little extra time to fill out your questionnaire, it will be worth the effort to achieve your perfect design.

Q: What can I do to prepare myself for working with Classic Creations?

A: Think carefully about what you want, before we get started. The more detailed you are in your descriptions, the better chance there is of your "vision" becoming reality. We always research extensively when working on any project, and knowing what you want will help us to move in the right direction.

Q: Why doesn't Classic Creations have an online questionnaire?

A: The answer is simple, a downloadable questionnaire allows you more time and flexibility when answering the questions. You don't feel "rushed" to answer, or "glued to the computer" while trying to think-and you can change your answers as many times as you need to, right up until you send it to us.

Q: What are the different image file types used for?

A: Typical uses are listed below by file type:

  .bmp  printable, high resolution file
  .eps  printable, high resolution file
.jpg  higher resolution web file (not typically printable resolution)
.gif  lower resolution web file-can have transparent background
.png  higher resolution alternative to .gif files (not always compatible)

.tif  high resolution file (typically photos)

Q: What is dpi and ppi?

A: Both are measurements of an image's resolution. Basically it's the amount of information stored in each image-measured by pixels per inch (ppi) or dots per inch (dpi). The higher the number, the higher (or better) the resolution.

Q: What is an animated graphic or ad?

A:  A GIF graphic file, which consists of two or more images shown in a timed sequence to give the effect of motion. Different from flash animation, which is actually an animated film created using Adobe Flash.  Classic Creations does not currently offer flash animation.

Q: What is a Concept?

A: A Concept is simply an Individual Design. Presented to you as a "Draft".

Q: What is a Revision?

A: A Revision is a slight change of a draft (color, shape, font, etc.). A completely new Concept is not considered to be a revision.

A: The definition of Graphic Design is the process and art of combining text and graphics and communicating an effective message in the design of logos, graphics, brochures, newsletters, posters, signs, websites, and any other type of visual communication.

Q: What is Desktop Publishing?

A: The definition of Desktop Publishing is the process of using the computer and specific types of software to combine text and graphics to produce documents such as newsletters, brochures, books, fliers, marketing materials, etc.
