Design Styles
For most graphics there are basic types or styles that can be used to help appeal to your target market. We’ve narrowed those down to 4 types: Clean & Simple, High Tech, Fanciful, and Elegant. Styles can also be combined to achieve the desired target market emotions.
For logos can be text only, or text with a symbol. Puts the visitor at ease. Straight lines, easy to understand, neat, and organized. Also use of bold colors that stand out and grab attention on a simple background. Sometimes referred to as ‘Web 2.0′.
Using images and colors that make the visitor feel a sense of sophistication and knowledge. Uses lots of metallic, glass, or shiny elements with reflections. Also sometimes referred to as a ‘Web 2.0′ look.
Using hand drawn graphics to portray a casual, homey feeling of contentment, or a magical or mystical air. A good style for a boutique type website, or for a children’s website.
Uses a distinctive style to help the visitor feel a sense of uniqueness and specialty. Makes use of script fonts with lots of curves, along with rich colors and high contrast.
